Agnese C. Giordano, 88, of 66 Ann Lane, Bradford, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.She was born on August 4, 1923 in Rome, Italy, a daughter of the late Emdis and Maria Fedechi Cagnoli.
On January 28, 1946 she married John A. Giordano in Italy, who passed away on March 18, 1979.
She attended Catholic schools in Rome, Italy.
She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church.
She was employed as a furrier for 36 years at the former S.K. Tate Furs and Fashion Land and later by the Bradford Era for 16 years.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy, several god children, several cousins in the United States and many caretakers, friends and neighbors.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Virgilio, Pietro, Raffaele and Antonio and three sisters, Assunta, Allegrina and Gina.
At her request there will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymond Gramata as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her name can be made to the St. Bernard Elementary School, 450 West Washington St., or a charity of the donor’s choice.
