Winter Weather Advisory issued February 28 at 3: 04PM EST until February 29 at 1:00PM EST by NWS

.. Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 am to 1 PM EST Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for sleet and freezing rain... which is in effect
from 6 am to 1 PM EST Wednesday.

* Locations... areas from Interstate 80 north to the New York
border.

* Hazard types... sleet and freezing rain along with minor snow
accumulations.

* Accumulations... less than one tenth of an inch of ice and up to
1 inch of snow.

* Timing... 6am to early afternoon.

* Impacts... light ice accumulations on sidewalks and roadways.

* Winds... southeast 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Temperatures... around 30.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

Motorists should be especially cautious on bridges and
overpasses... where slippery spots develop first. Stay tuned to
