Route 61 lane restriction on Veterans Memorial Bridge at Sunbury
Motorists crossing the Route 61 Veterans’ Memorial Bridge from Sunbury into Shamokin Dam are advised to be alert for a lane closure today.
A PennDOT contractor is removing flood debris from around the bridge piers, and has closed the northbound shoulder and right lane to facilitate the work. One northbound lane remains open to traffic. Southbound lanes are not involved.
The lane restriction is expected to be in place until early evening.
