Winter Weather Advisory issued February 29 at 3: 53AM EST until February 29 at 1:00PM EST by NWS
... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM EST this afternoon...
* locations... the north central and northeast mountains.
* Hazard types... snow... sleet and freezing rain.
* Accumulations... up to 1 inch of snow... mainly over the Endless
Mountains north of Williamsport. Ice accumulations around one
tenth of an inch.
* Impacts... a light accumulation of snow and ice on area sidewalks
and untreated roadways.
* Winds... southeast 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
* Temperatures... in the lower 30s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
Motorists should be especially cautious on bridges and
overpasses... where slippery spots develop first. Stay tuned to
