Travel Advisory
I-80 bridge beam settings planned this week and next

The contractor building the new I-80 westbound bridge near Mifflinville in Columbia County will set the beams for span one this Thursday, March 1.

The beams will be unloaded and lifted into place from the I-80 eastbound river bridge.

This will require rolling roadblocks on I-80 eastbound from mile 236 (Lightstreet) to mile 242 (Mifflinville) while the beams are off-loaded.

Beam setting will begin at 10 a.m. and continue to 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Beams will also be set for three additional spans next week, Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Eastbound I-80 motorists should plan for travel delays on these days.

The new westbound bridge is being built between the existing eastbound and westbound bridges over the North Branch Susquehanna River between Exits 241 (Lime Ridge/Berwick) and 242 (Mifflinville).
