Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 10:13 PM EST on February 28, 2012
... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 am to 1 PM EST Wednesday...
* locations... the northwest and north central mountains of
Pennsylvania.
* Hazard types... sleet and freezing rain along with minor snow
accumulations.
* Accumulations... less than one tenth of an inch of ice and up
to 1 inch of snow.
* Timing... 6am to early afternoon.
* Impacts... a light accumulation of snow... and or ice on area
sidewalks and roadways.
* Winds... southeast 5 to 15 mph... with gusts up to 30 mph across
the higher elevations.
* Temperatures... around 30.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
Motorists should be especially cautious on bridges and
overpasses... where slippery spots develop first. Stay tuned to
