MOUNT JEWETT - Linda J. Paar, 63, of 80 E. Main St., Mount Jewett, passed away Monday morning (Feb. 27, 2012) at Kane Community Hospital.
Born Nov. 12, 1948, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence C. and Elaine Balon Greenawalt. On May 17, 1969, in Mount Jewett, she married Kordon J. Paar, who survives.
Mrs. Paar was employed as a secretary for Paar Transportation Services in Mount Jewett. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Also, she was an avid bingo player and loved her two cats and dog.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Christopher Paar and his fiancée Sheri Easton, a brother, Robert (Carol) Mix, and a sister, Carol (Sherman) Keller, all of Mount Jewett. Seven nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Cummings Funeral Home Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. W. Craig Smith, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating.
