Lisa A. Cole, 40, of 79 First St.,, Bolivar, NY

BOLIVAR —Lisa A. Cole, 40, of 79 First St., passes away on Monday (Feb. 20, 2012) at home following a lengthy illness.

Born Jan. 11, 1972, in Olean, she was the daughter of Fred and Jacquelyn Fuller Cole.

Lisa was a graduate of Bolivar Central School, Class of 1990. She attended SUNY at Fredonia and received an associated degree from Jamestown Community College and was a graduate of the Sheriff’s Academy.

Lisa was a certified EMT and a certified nurse’s aide. She was a former Nurse’s Aide at Wellsville Manor Nursing Home and was a former Corrections Officer at the Allegany County Jail. She was an EMT with the Bolivar Fire Dept. Ambulance Squad.

Surviving are her parents, Fred and Jacki Cole of Bolivar; two sisters, Lori (Jon) Brandes of Wellsville, and Andee (Chris) Lathrop of Cuba; one nephew, Teagin Brandes; one niece, Tiernee Brandes; grandfather, Dwain Hull of Friendship; several aunts, uncles and cousins; lifelong best friend, Wendy Gilliland; and her pet dog, Jozee.

There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held on Saturday (Feb. 25, 2012) at 11 a.m. in the Schaffner Funeral Home, Inc., Bolivar, with Rev. Al Batt of the Heritage AFlame Ministries officiating. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joyful Rescues, Turock Road, Cuba, NY 14727 or Bolivar Fire Dept. Ambulance Fund, 460 Main St., Bolivar, NY 14715.
