David A. Longo, 58, Mill Run, Penfield, died suddenly Saturday, March 3, 2012, as the result of an automobile accident.
Born March 14, 1953, in DuBois, he was a son of Esther M. Longo, Mill Run, and the late Donato Longo.
He lived his entire life in Penfield. He was a graduate of Jeff Tech. He owned and operated Dave's Auto Body in Hollywood, Cindy's Bar in Penfield, Longo's Logging in Penfield, and most recently was employed at Gap Enterprise in Weedville.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Force, Penfield Volunteer Fireman's Club and Valley Legion Post No. 987.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jason (Emily) Leithner, Mill Run, and Kiley Longo, Penfield; and three grandchildren: Molli Walls, Brooke Leithner, and Karlee Leithner.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donato Longo; one daughter, Gretchin Longo; and one brother, Louis Longo.
Friends will be received from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral in Penfield. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Force with Fr. Thomas Tyler officiating. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Force.
