Volunteer Orientation Day
Volunteer Training at Animal Care Sanctuary,Wellsboro,
March 17th, 10 am – 12 pm

Wellsboro, PA – There is strong interest in animal care in Tioga County, and many have submitted their volunteer applications to Animal Care Sanctuary at 11765 Route 6, Wellsboro, across from Weis Market. If you have not filled out a volunteer application, and are interested in becoming involved with the sanctuary, please pick one up in our lobby or online at www.animalcaresanctuary.org.

Everyone is encouraged to attend the Volunteer Orientation Day, March 17th from 10am to 12 noon inside Purrfect Treasures Gift Shoppe in front of the main sanctuary building. (If this date is not convenient, there is Volunteer Training being held at our East Smithfield location March 11 from 2pm—4pm, 353 Sanctuary Hill Lane. Please find directions on line at www.animalcaresanctuary.org.)

“We are delighted so many people have expressed interest in helping to care for, and love our temporary, furry, four-legged residents. Folks with huge hearts want to learn more about animal care, animal safety, shelter animal well-being, taking ownership of the grounds keeping, and being part of a center of excellence for all animals,” says Wendy Reber, ACS Community Liaison for Tioga County.

Animal Care Sanctuary is a dedicated, nurturing stepping stone for animals of all kinds. We have been a sanctuary for 45 years, and three years ago started the successful adoption program to find forever homes, NOT just “quick homes” for our animals.
