Perry E. Paul Jr., 85, of 138 Vaturia Drive Hurricane, WV., formerly of Long Lane in Bradford, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Putnam Rehabilitation and Care Facility in Putnam, WV. His daughter was with him when he peacefully entered the gates of Heaven.
Born March 19, 1926, in Bradford, he was the son of the late Perry E. and Margaret (Clark) Paul.
On September 18, 1948 in The Derrick City Methodist Church he married Joyce A. Ford who passed away October 31, 2008. They celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2008.
He attended Bradford schools.
He was a former member of Bolivar Drive Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a Deacon and a Trustee. He also attended the Crown Christian Center in Hurricane, WV.
He was employed at Kendall Refinery for his entire working career and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He retired in 1989 after 41 years of service.
He is survived by a daughter, Jackie (Joe) Sweeley of Hurricane, WV, a son, Jeff (Carol) Paul of Albion, NY; five grandchildren, Brian (Erinn) Sweeley, Joy Sweeley, Nathan (Jill) Paul, Jon Paul and Bethany (Chad) Althouse; eight great grandchildren and a brother, Charles Paul of Bradford.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters.
Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., East Main St., where a celebration of Perry's life will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March, 12, 2012 with James Dennis, Pastor of Crown Christian Center in Hurricane, WV officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery
