Betty A. Hannon, 90, of 148 Davis Street, Bradford, PA

Betty A. Hannon, 90, of 148 Davis Street, passed away Sunday, March 4th, 2012 at Hamot Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 26, 1921, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Matthew T. and Marie (Stoner) Hannon.

Ms Hannon was a 1940 graduate of St. Bernard High School. She had been employed at Producer's Bank for over 31 years. She served on St. Bernard High School Reunion Committee for several years. Betty was a member of the Bradford Women's Bowling League and an avid sports fan of the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Pirates,New York Mets and all the local area sports.

She was a member of St. Bernard Church.

She is survived by a sister, Mary (Andy) Sapko of Bradford; fourteen nieces and nephews, Kathleen Symington, Colleen Nuzzo, Geoffrey Hannon, Marty Sapko, Mary Lou Sapko, Gordon Sapko, Janice Erickson, Marcia Good, Patricia Egan, Mike "Smiley" Hannon, Joseph Hannon, Robert Hannon, Stephen Hannon, and Timothy Hannon; many grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents one sister Marjorie Hannon; three brothers Patrick, Matthew and John Henry "Harry "Hannon and one grand nephew Bryon T. Hannon.


Family will be receiving friends on Friday, March 9, 2012, from 9:30 to 10:00 am in St. Bernard Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
