Shannon E. Chubon, 27, of Atlanta, Ga., and formerly of Lock Haven, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday (March 1, 2012).
She was born Jan. 12, 1985, in Lock Haven, the daughter of Frank L. and Mary Beth Mosebarger Chubon.
She was a graduate of Central Mountain High School and received a radiology technology degree from Mansfield University. She was presently employed as a dental receptionist.
Shannon was an accomplished equestrian and excelled in hunter events on her horses "Satin" and "Lovey." She was an adept DJ spinning in many of the top Atlanta clubs. She loved exercising her two pit terriers, "Boots" and "Shorty," one of which she rescued from abuse.
She is survived by her parents; one brother, Corey Chubon of Philadelphia; maternal grandparents, John and Judy Nelson Mosebarger of St. Marys; and a paternal grandmother, Anna K. Stanko Chubon of Smethport.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Frank S. Chubon.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Yost Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, with a vigil service following.
The family will provide the flowers and requests that donations be made to the Clinton County SPCA in Shannon's name through the funeral home.
