Would you please share this.
My son, Grant Hilfiger was born here in Coudersport and graduated from Coudersport Jr. / Sr. High. Married his wonderful wife Nicole and has a beautiful little girl Madison. A lot of people know Grant.
Please help. My son suffers with chronic Lyme disease.
Grant has only been diagnosed for about a year and a half now. He is having heart trouble (high BP and 2 leaky valves), joint pain, and short term memory loss among other symptoms. (He is 28) On the medicine he does ok. As soon as anyone messes with it he gets worse again.
Until the CDC acknowledges that Lyme is a serious disease and not something "cured" by 4 weeks of antibiotics then they can start working on reliable testing and better treatments.
It has also been proven that it can pass from mother to unborn child so it seems possible that ticks aren't the only way to spread the disease.
He has to see a specialist in VERMONT because doctors in PA are in fear of losing their license for appropriately treating patients!
Please go and support PA HB 272!
This is the guide lines for Lymes disease that is currently not covered properly under the CDC's regulations.
Currently our insurance companies are only covering up to four weeks of antibiotics when it is a known fact that most people that suffer from Lyme's need up to four YEARS! Right now, in PA our doctors will not treat Lyme's disease the way it needs to be treated for fear of losing their license.
