E. June Lyons, 90, of 27 East Warren Road, Custer City, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
She was born on October 16, 1921 in Bartlesville, OK, a daughter of the late Charles and Eva Rose Hilliard.
On August 15, 1941 in Olean, NY, she married Fred J. Lyons, who preceded her in death in 2000.
She was a 1940 graduate of the Bradford Area High School.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bradford.
She was employed by Dresser Manufacturing, Bradford for twenty seven years as a secretary until her retirement in 1984.
She is survived by one son, Fred C. Lyons, Eldred, one daughter, Diana Cattoni, Erie, one grandson, Joseph (Kim) Cattoni, Atlanta, GA, three granddaughters, Deedee (Bill) Modzelewski, Cleveland, OH, Suzanne (Robert Olson) Lyons, Phoenix, AZ, Jennifer (Akram) Krayem, Los Angeles, CA, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by one sister.
At her request there will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 7 2012 at McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette, with the Rev. Thomas Verner pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating.
