On this date in 1982, Brilliant released their debut single, "That's What Good Friends Are For". It was backed by "Push". Neither track appeared on an album (they didn't release one until 1986). The London goth/post punk band was formed by Martin Glover (a.k.a. Youth) when he left Killing Joke (and before rejoining the band). They released numerous singles but just one album before disbanding in 1986.
