On this date in 1981, Wah! released their fourth single, "Somesay". It was backed by "Forget The Down (This Time)". The A side was on their debut album, Nah=Poo--The Art Of Bluff (though the single was a re-recorded version of the song). The B side was a non-LP track which had previously been released as an A side. The Liverpool post-punk band was fronted by Pete Wylie, who once was in a band called The Crucial Three with Ian McCulloch (later with Echo and The Bunnymen) and Julian Cope (later with The Teardrop Explodes). The band, at various points in their career, was also called Wah! Heat, Shambeko! Say Wah!, JF Wah!, The Mighty Wah! and Wah! The Mongrel. Pete Wylie is still performing, but Wah-less.
