On this date in 1980, Echo and The Bunnymen released their third single, "
The Puppet". It was backed by "
Do It Clean". Neither track appeared on an album but the B side was added as a bonus track to their debut album,
Crocodiles, on a CD re-release. The Liverpool, England post punk band disbanded in 1992 but re-formed in 1996 and has been active in the studio and on the stage since then.
