The Police - Zenyatta Mondatta

On this date in 1980, The Police released their third album, Zenyatta Mondatta. It resulted in two singles, "Don't Stand So Close To Me" (#1 U.K., #10 U.S.) and "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da" (#5 U.K., #10 U.S.). The album reached the #1 spot on the U.K. albums chart and reached the #5 spot on the U.S. albums chart. The London new wave band disbanded in 1984. They have been touring together the last couple of years.
