Afghan Biscuits
We are really lucky with the deli. We have some of the best neighbours! We have really local locals! And one of them asked me to make one of her favourite biscuits from New Zealand, Afghan biscuits. I love that the customers ask me to make their favourite sweets. I really love trying to make what they ate as kids. I love watching the glee in them tasting it. Honey Honey Joy Joy
Bake sale.....Year 3, maybe 4.....$2 to spend.....what do you buy?

And the best thing is that in those days they were 50 cents.....so you could buy four!!!!
Over the last few months at the deli I have been going back to my childhood for inspiration and this week I will be busting out the Kelloggs Corn Flakes box and making a few batches of these!
Oh, and today someone asked my

Do the sums:
Rice Bubbles + Marshmallows = bubble base
Peanut Butter + Butter = fudgey goodness
Chocolate +Cream = Ganache
Bubble Base + Fudgey goodness + Ganache = Chocolate Peanut Fudgey Goodness

Pizza - two ways
How gorgeous is our pizza!
Mushroom, Asparagus and imported Italian Proscuitto from Balaclava Fruit Centre......
You can be so creative with pizzas. And of course you can make this gluten free!
Pizza Dough
700g pizza flour*
40g fresh yeast
50mls olive oil
450mls water (warm)
Pinch of salt
*If going gluten free use 750g gluten free flour mix.

Peppermint Creams
Everything with peppermint in it, is fabulous.Peppermint ice-cream; minties; toothpaste; old school after dinner mints; mint patties; chewing gum; polos; tictacs; mentos....the list goes on....
So when I found these yummy chocolate and peppermint biscuits....I was excited. And the best bit.....the peppermint has white chocolate in it!
